Beatiful landhouse in perfect environment. Good food and excllent golfcourse nearby the hotel. Having finished the golf game you can immediately jump on the nice terrace
Rooms can be upgraded a bit
The reception staff were very welcoming, the room was excellent, although the shower in the bath with the low beams was difficult! We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was superb as was the service. We played golf the next morning and found the course challenging. This is our second visit to this hotel and makes a relaxing stopover on the drive to the south of france
The fact that it was adjacent to a golf course.
The fact emarged that the there was no relationship between the golf management and the hotel lmanagemnt. In fact, after booking the golf we booked the hotel but then, at the last moment, we were asked by the golf to change our tee-time and finally asked "to carry" ... we cancelled the golf but by then were comitted to the hotel which was "pre-paid".
Wonderful setting with welcoming staff and excellent cuisine.
Very quiet park-like setting overlooking a golf course, although near a main road to Poitiers. We had a room in the manoir itself (there is another newer building) so it felt luxurious and relaxing. Food in the restaurant was very good.
It is a small annoying thing in our otherwise very nice room: flimsy throw-away plastic cups for tea/coffee and a kettle with a cord to short to reach any plug! Ceramic mugs and an extension cord would remedy this.
the setting and the restaurant - the food was excellent
There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the roomwhich is unusual nowadays
A beautiful buiding, but it need sTLC. It is a fair hotel but incomplete. The grounds need sweeping, the food is ambitious but not well cooked. There is no guest lounge. The ornamental pool needs cleaning out.
Peaceful countryside location and easy to find. A perfect half-way overnight stop off when travelling from south east to north west.
The setting was lovely, at the side of a golf course, the food at dinner in the restaurant was really good too. Staff very nice too.
Our room was dirty, the floors, walls, the mirrors in the room looked liked they had not been cleaned in months, we had our pet dog and bird with us and wondered if they had put us in the worse room because of it, my husband wouldnt let me complain to have the room changed.
Location to a10 was convienant for travel break, we were travelling from Spain back to uk. Rooms were spacious, whilst swiming pool allowed children to stretch legs after a long journey. Restaurant and menu offered an excellent choice. Would stay here again next year.
Great stopover . Inexpensive.Lovely setting- chateau and fishpond.Family apartment very suitable.Kids loved the pool.
Some of the bathroom fitting were worse for wear.
2 adults & 2 children traveling from UK down to Dordogne. This was a brilliant one night stop on our journey. We swam in the pool and had a delicious dinner in the main house. Our room in a seperate block was massive and even had a kitchenette. It was all in the grounds of a well maintained golf course and was all very relaxing. Just what we all needed.
The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We are a family of five and were only able to book a quadruple room and a double through Booked.net, however the hotel did have a room for five. We opted for the two rooms even though we were housed in two separate buildings in order to have more space and an extra bathroom. The main hotel was lovely and the restaurant overlooked the large pond. The other building was a little less glam, but perfectly adequate and only a stone throw away. Our dog was made most welcome and the pool was a pleasant extra.
An excellent overnight night stop
I know it is a bit cheeky but a little english from the staff would have been helpful in the restaurant
The setting was lovely. The staff were very helpful and aproachable. We had a family room and it had an unusual layout and my teenage daughter loved it. The food was good.
We had to wait for our room as it had not been cleaned. We waited around 2hours from the check in time.
